Veterinary Technicians

Jo-Anne: Graduate of Seneca College, King City, Ontario. She has worked at the clinic since May 1989. Jo-Anne is a friendly, easy going and very loyal member of the staff. She owns a Shepherd cross named "Robyn" and a cat named "Leevi". She recalls her most memorable experience working at the clinic when a breeder brought in a litter of Bernese Mountain Dogs for vaccines, they were so adorable that - she thought she was in puppy heaven!
Maureen: Graduate of the St. Lawrence College Technician Program. Also a certified Canadian Veterinary Dental Technician. Maureen is a very athletic staff member who is outgoing with a great sense of humor. She enjoys all kinds of physical activities including running, cycling and swimming and competes in many races. She also is secretary for Thunder Bay Nordic Trails, a timer for the Thunder Bay Cycling Club, a member of the Thunder Bay Cycling Club & Kamview Nordic Ski Club. Maureen enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her dog "Henry Thomas".
Laurel: Graduate of the St. Lawrence College Technologist Program. Worked at the clinic since March of 1998. Laurel enjoys reading, camping, fishing and gardening in her spare time. She has a cat named "Alberta" a.k.a. "Sussy Cat". Laurel's most memorable experience working at the clinic was when she saw the giant kidney worm surgery our doctors performed and was elated at the positive recovery of the dog!
Anne-Marie: Bachelor of Science in Biology and graduate of Veterinary Technology. She has been working at the clinic since May, 1999. She owns three dogs, "Mable" a Bull Mastiff, "Fisher" a chocolate Lab, and "Roo", a Sheltie cross and a cat named "Darby". Anne-Marie has additional training in dog behaviour and is a certified pet dog trainer (CPDT). She is currently teaching canine training classes for the clinic. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, agility training, puppy training and physical fitness.
Julie: Graduate of Ridgetown College University of Guelph, she has been with the clinic as an RVT since 2004. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, Maxwell and Aspen and her 19yr old red-eared slider turtle named Fernando. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, crafting, photography, hiking and astronomy.
Trista: Graduate of Northern College Veterinary Technician Program. She has been working at the hospital since May, 2008. Trista has three dogs, "Rufus", a Shepherd cross, "Ludo", an English Mastiff and "Sookie", a rescued retired racing Greyhound, and three cats, "Musch", "Amos" and "Twitch". In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband Matt and her little boy, Kaleb.
Tina: Graduate of Ridgetown College, University of Guelph. She has been working at the hospital since September, 2008. Tina has two dogs, "Cricket", a Hound cross, "Finnegan", a Lab cross and a cat "MJ". In her spare time she enjoys hiking, kayaking, dragon boating and spending time with her husband Rob and her family.
Katie: Graduate of Ridgetown College, University of Guelph. She has been working at the hospital since September, 2011. Katie has two cats, "Hershey", and "Carlos". In her spare time she enjoys reading, photography, skiing and spending time with her fiance Ryan.

Veterinary Assistants

Joan: Joan has been working at the clinic since 1988. She has an Australian Shepherd named "Kylie", a tuxedo cat named "Jake" and a snowshoe Siamese named "Rupert". Joan very much enjoys working with animals and has an interest in natural pet health. Her interests include photography, hiking and training and competing in agility with her dog "Kylie".
Heather: Heather has been working at the clinic since November 1991. She has a cat named "Hazel" and two dogs, "Neechi" and "Wyn". Heather enjoys playing hockey, snowboarding, hiking, camping, fishing and gardening. She also has a knack for doing home improvements and fixing things.
