Intravenous
Fluid Therapy
| Having an intravenous
catheter in makes giving the anesthetic more comfortable for the pet, and allows us to
have an access for both the intravenous anesthetics and fluids. The catheter is also
available as an access for any other drugs that the pet might require during or after the
surgery. |
The fluids maintain the hydration and
circulation of the patient during the procedure, and helps to speed recovery from the
anesthetic by helping to flush the drugs out of the pet's circulation. |
